LM: Light Mapping command, EXP Bus Protocol Reference¶
Understanding EXP board addressing
This command is used with FAST Expansion and FAST breakout boards via a FAST Serial Protocol (FSP) connection to the EXP Bus. Please read the EXP Overview to understand the operation of these commands and addresses.
The LM:
command is used to group a set of LEDs so they can be controlled as one.
Command Syntax¶
LM:<index><map><cr>
Added one or more LEDs into an aliased LED block. All LEDs in the block can then be jointly controlled by commands using the generic “map address” of 0xFE rather than the normal expansion address. During lamp shows these mapped LED blocks can be controlled using LED indices offset by 0x80, e.g. mapped LED block 2 would be LED index 82.
